Mayor Eric Adams extended an invitation to CAIPA to share comprehensive health information with community leaders and elected officials during the AAPI month celebration at Gracie Mansion. This event marked the second time that Mayor Adams hosted an AAPI celebration at Gracie Mansion. Mayor Adams expressed his admiration for the significant contributions made by Asians to the city and presented the recognition to Benjamin Chou, the former president of FDNY Phoenix Society. He acknowledged the vital roles played by Asian Americans in key positions within the city government, including TLC Commissioner David Do, SBS Commissioner Kevin Kim, OCMH Director Eva Wong, and others. Notable figures such as Special Adviser to the Mayor and Director of Asian Affairs Winnie Greco, Councilwoman Linda Lee and Julie Won, Vice Mayor’s Senior Advisor Peter Koo, and various other Asian elected officials attended the event to demonstrate their support.
