Dr. Yuanli Xie, an internist on 86th Street in Brooklyn, saved a man’s life after he suffered a cardiac arrest during a ping pong game at the Fuqin Recreation Center. Last Sunday, she heard a loud thud and saw a man named Mac collapse and convulse. Dr. Xie immediately performed CPR. When paramedics arrived, they administered defibrillator shocks and revived Mac. He regained consciousness and recognized his friends, showing no signs of brain damage.
