Patient Service Representative

Job Responsibilities:

  • Escort patients to and from physician offices and exam/treatment rooms.
  • Inform physician of patient reschedules and no shows.
  • Record patient data (vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, etc.) and obtain all necessary patient records as required by physician beforehand.
  • Assist with exams and procedures; maintain all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
  • Answer patient calls for referral to physician, nurse, or pharmacist, phone in prescriptions.
  • Perform administrative tasks and other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Chinese speaking (Mandarin and Cantonese preferred)
  • 0-3 years of experience as medical or nursing assistant and must be certified
  • Current BCLS certification within 3 months of hire

 

Per Diem Medical Assistant

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet/check in patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner; inform clinical staff of patient arrival.
  • Schedule returning appointments in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines; record and notify staff with any patient cancellations and missed appointments (will need to reschedule).
  • Provide and explain paperwork for the patient to complete prior to examination.
  • Update demographic and insurance information in the system; collect co-pays and balances.
  • Answer, screen, and respond to routine questions, routes to appropriate personnel, or take thorough messages. Page clinic personnel as appropriate and communicate in an accurate and timely manner according to procedures.
  • Adhere to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and guidelines.
  • Perform administrative and maintenance tasks and other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Receptionist or office experience
  • Chinese speaking (Mandarin and Cantonese preferred)
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft

Salary: $18 – $21 / hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
