CAIPA and Healthfirst gathered with community and elected leaders on July 30 to celebrate the success of their recent recertification awareness campaign. 92% of Healthfirst members were recertified (compared to New York’s average recertification rate of 82% across all health plans).

This campaign, a response to the ending of a pause in recertification requirements due to the pandemic, was made possible with Healthfirst’s tireless outreach efforts and contributions from CAIPA physicians, who played a critical role in educating the community about the need to recertify their health coverage. We were glad to share a commitment to culturally competent care with Healthfirst during this rewarding collaboration!
