Many AAPI seniors in New York quietly face depression, anxiety, and social isolation, often mistaking emotional distress for physical illness. From 2024 to 2025, CAIPA Foundation, Inc. is leading the Mental Health Station initiative, offering outreach, education, and mental health resources across communities in Flushing, Sunset Park, and Bensonhurst.

Early findings show over 70% of participants experienced trauma, yet most remain reluctant to seek help. The CAIPA Foundation continues to collaborate with healthcare and community partners to provide culturally responsive support—helping seniors live healthier, more connected lives.”
