Meet CAIPA NEW COO

CAIPA New COO Jing Shui
CAIPA’s (Coalition of Asian-American IPA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce its unanimous decision to appoint Jing Shui as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of CAIPA. Jing will also continue to serve as Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of the organization.
Since joining CAIPA in 2019, Jing has brought more than 30 years of healthcare industry experience and has played a pivotal role in advancing CAIPA’s strategic direction and operational success. During his tenure, CAIPA has become one of the most successful independent practice associations (IPA) in value-based payment (VBP) arrangements, for both Medicaid and Medicare programs.
Jing has been instrumental in strengthening CAIPA’s network of over 1,400 independent physicians and healthcare professionals, who together care for more than 500,000 lives in our communities with high-quality, culturally competent care. As Chief Operating Officer for the Asian-American Accountable Care Organization (AAACO), a CAIPA-affiliated Medicare Accountable Care Organization (ACO), he helped lead the organization to great success in quality and efficiency. AAACO’s quality score ranked #1 among all NYC Medicare ACOs, based on the 2024 performance results recently released by CMS. Jing’s contributions have transformed CAIPA and its affiliates into business entities that have continuously excelled in operational and financial strength.
As CAIPA’s COO, Jing will collaborate with the executive team and members of the Board of Directors to oversee the organization’s day-to-day operations and ensure CAIPA continues to deliver excellence, innovation, and value to the organization’s provider network and communities served. “I want to thank the CAIPA Board for their trust in me. I look forward to helping lead our efforts to continue to transform CAIPA into a thriving business enterprise that benefits all our stakeholders. At the same time, I realize that there are significant challenges coming our way with the upcoming changes to the Medicaid and Medicare programs. I’m confident my colleagues and I will do our utmost to meet those challenges,” said Jing.

CAIPA congratulates Jing on this well-deserved promotion and is confident that his continued leadership will help guide the organization into its next phase of growth and success.
