Content Manager

Description

The content manager plays a lead role in the development, maintenance and execution of all social media channels. This role serves as the voice of the brand in the social space, creating innovative brand messaging and activation that engages consumers + influences across multiple social media platforms. This person serves as the social media strategist, strong SEO knowledge, content generator and channel expert whose ultimate goal is to communicate our brand positioning, boost engagement and increase followers. This individual needs to update the website and content post. They will ensure that all brand messaging is executed across all channels and, reversely digital marketing initiatives are executed on the brand level.

 

Direct Resposibilities

  • Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams
  • Create and publish engaging content
  • Edit, proofread and improve writers’ posts
  • Liaise with content writers to ensure brand consistency
  • Optimize content according to SEO
  • Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and users engagement metrics
  • Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
  • Develop an editorial calendar and ensure the content team is on board
  • Ensure compliance with the law (e.g. copyright and data protection)
  • Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw the audience’s attention

 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 

  • Proven work experience as a Content manager
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office and WordPress
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Familiarity with social media
  • Excellent writing skills in English
  • Chinese preferred but not required
  • Attention to detail
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • BSc degree in Journalism, Marketing or relevant field

 

Minimum Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in managing social media in an agency or client-side – preferably within the healthcare or medical industry.
