China Press – CAIPA Join Queens DA Back to School Event

The cold couldn’t dampen the spirits of community leaders and volunteers who united to deliver holiday cheer through a “Holiday Food Drive.” On a brisk weekend following Thanksgiving, the NYPD Bureau’s Crime Prevention Division, CAIPA Foundation, Tzu Chi Foundation New York Regional Office, and UA3 distributed 500 meal packages to residents.

The “Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Health Day,” a community-focused event promoting wellness through holistic care, was held on Sunday, Nov. 17, in Flushing. Organized by the United Alliance of NYS Licensed Acupuncturists (UANYSLA), CAIPA Foundation, Inc., and Healthfirst, with support from the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Alumni Association, the event provided free health consultations, treatments, and educational resources to attendees

Dr. Qingliang Tony Wang, a CAIPA member and Director of the Jaffe Stroke Center at Maimonides Medical Center, along with Dr. Lisa Eng, a CAIPA member and OB-GYN, were recently honored by the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) Brooklyn Community Services Center and the Health Essential Association.

CAIPA and Healthfirst gathered with community and elected leaders on July 30 to celebrate the success of their recent recertification awareness campaign.
